In this chapter, our travelers came to Narnia eventually. After I finished the previous chapter, I had an expectation that they would enter another dark cave and Jill would probably get lost in it. However, the real story was much more positive than I expected. The most great part for me was the moment Jill entered Narnia and the Great Snow Dance. Also, the part where the snowball hit her mouth was funny. The part I was the happiest for was the entering moment of Prince Rillian. The only desire of whole nations became true at that moment. I am so happy for that and proud of our brave companions!

from “The Silver Chair”

1. What happened to Jill from her friends’ viewpoint? What did they feel like when Jill disappeared?

— According to Jill’s friends, once she put her head into the hole, someone, obviously enemies, pull her and, now, she is probably killed. When Jill disappeared they were sorrowed, worried, agitated, shamed and afraid.

2. What had really happened to Jill?

—Jill realizes that they entered the Narnia from the upper world while Narnia citizens dancing traditional dance named The Great Snow Dance in which citizens throw snowball to onw another in drum beat. At moment she was saying “I say…”, a big snowball hit her mouth.

3. Why didn’t anyone doubt who Prince Rilian was?

— There were many creatures who remembered him and old creatures who also remembered how his father used to look like the Prince when he was young. Also, there was great appearance on his face which all true kings of Narnia would have.

4. What did Prince Rilian talk about while the children slept? What did it mean?

— While children were asleep, Prince Rilian talked about the adventures he had faced in upper world with wiser and older Beats and Dwarfs. For them, it meant all those Northern Witches always want to own Narnia and every of them has different plans for it.
